V+ HD

I have taken the plunge and upgraded our cable service to V+ whilst Virgin Media have got their 50% off offer on. Hopefully now we should be able to watch TV when we want to, rather than watch a load of drivel were are not interested in. It also included one HD channel and I think the ability to download HD films. I will be interested to see what all this HD hype is about. Will it be better than normal TV?

The offer is much better than SKY’s as you can watch one programme and record two all at the same time, whereas with SKY you can only record one and watch one at the same time. In addition to this, the box is £225 cheaper and if it blows up Mr Virgin will come round and fix it, with SKY you have to pay £60. Rip off bastards!! The only downside is SKY’s HD offering is much better. Is it worth the extra £5 a month and £225 upfront? I think not.
